The Role – Head of EPA
As the Head of EPA, you will provide both strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure the organisation not only meets regulatory requirements but also stands out as a leader in the sector. Your key responsibilities will include:

Defining and driving the organisation’s long-term strategy and vision
*
Leading and developing high-performing assessment and operational teams
*
Ensuring full Ofqual compliance and maintaining regulatory readiness at all times
*
Driving continuous improvement in assessment design, delivery, and learner experience
*
Building and maintaining strong relationships with providers, employers, and industry partners
*
Managing budgets, forecasts, and exploring commercial growth opportunities
*
Representing the organisation within the sector through events, forums, and networks
About You
We’re seeking an inspiring leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery:

Proven senior management or director-level experience (ideally in an EPAO, awarding body, or within apprenticeships/skills)
*
In-depth knowledge of Ofqual/EPA regulations and compliance frameworks
*
Strong people leadership skills, able to motivate, inspire, and develop teams
*
A track record of delivering business performance, growth, and operational excellence
*
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
*
Commercially astute, with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities
