Job Description
Anderson Knight Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with one of our key clients, a leading player within the Distribution industry, to recruit an experienced Head of Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to join a well-established and rapidly growing company that is committed to excellence in service delivery.
As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for managing the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee preparation of statutory and management accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UK accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing clear insights to support organisational goals.
* Deliver financial analysis and reporting to senior leaders, budget holders, and the Board to inform decision-making.
* Act as a trusted business partner, building strong stakeholder relationships to drive performance.
* Lead and develop the finance team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Maintain robust financial controls to ensure effective risk management and compliance.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure to optimise resources.
* Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely submissions.
* Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives, adding insight and challenge to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
* Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager role,
* Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a finance team.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
