Head of Finance - Logistics & Operations
Location: Hybrid - 2 Days On-Site in the Midlands
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Head of Finance to join a leading organisation operating across the logistics and supply chain sector. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll partner with senior executives to drive financial strategy, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency across a complex, fast-paced environment.
About the Role
This position will see you take ownership of financial leadership for logistics, supply chain, operations, and inventory. You'll act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing strategic insight and driving improvements across budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with senior leadership to influence key operational and strategic decisions
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across logistics and operations functions
Develop and implement KPIs, financial models, and cost-to-serve analysis
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals
Drive inventory optimisation and working capital efficiency
Support business case development and investment analysis
Ensure financial governance, compliance, and audit readiness
Continuously improve financial processes and systems
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience in finance business partnering, ideally within logistics or supply chain
Strong commercial acumen and experience influencing at executive level
Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills
Experienced in managing high-performing finance teams
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, matrixed environment
