Head of Geography / Head of Humanities

A dynamic, high-performing secondary school in London (South) is seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Geography or Head of Humanities to provide visionary leadership across the department(s).
The Role
*
Lead and manage the Geography or Humanities department, including curriculum development, staffing, assessment and quality assurance
*
Teach across Key Stages 3–5 (as required)
*
Drive student progress, engagement, and excellence in the subject(s)
*
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and strategic development
*
Line-manage subject teachers, mentor early career teachers, and lead CPD

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*
Commitment to inclusive education and raising outcomes for all students
