About the Role
Coppersmith Recruitment and Services Inc is recruiting on behalf of their client for a Head of Home Insurance. This is a fantastic opportunity to establish and grow a new household insurance facility, with a strong focus on mid and high net worth clients. You’ll lead the development of the function, provide expert advice, and build strong client and insurer relationships while ensuring compliance with FCA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for household insurance clients.
* Assess client needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
* Prepare quotations, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and endorsements.
* Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms.
* Build and maintain strong broker and insurer relationships.
* Generate new business through referrals, cross-selling, and marketing initiatives.
* Deliver excellent client service to ensure strong retention.
* Ensure all documentation and processes meet FCA and company compliance standards.
* Support and train junior staff in personal lines insurance procedures.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as an Insurance Broker within personal lines/household insurance.
* Strong knowledge of UK household insurance markets and products.
* Understanding of FCA regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* High attention to detail with a customer-first approach.
* Cert CII qualification (or willingness to study).
* Proficiency with broking systems and Microsoft Office.
* Full, clean driving licenceBefore You Apply
