Location: Warwick (Hybrid Working Available)
Rate: £53.15 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-time, Interim Assignment
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded local authority for an experienced Head of Housing to lead the strategic development and operational delivery of a key council service. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and drive housing services that make a real difference to the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the Housing Service Area, ensuring services are efficient, effective, and customer-focused.
Drive corporate change and contribute to the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Strategy.
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performing, value-for-money services.
Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory responsibilities within the service area.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide expert advice to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, and Elected Members.Requirements:
Educated to degree level or equivalent, with substantial experience at a senior leadership level within housing or a related field.
Proven track record in delivering service improvements and driving strategic change.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation, particularly consumer standards for social housing.
Experience of leading multi-disciplined teams and managing complex service areas.
Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIH) with evidence of continuous professional development.This is a senior leadership role with high levels of responsibility and visibility.
