An Outstanding boys' school in Barnet is seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to join their faculty as Head of Humanities (Geography Focus) for a permanent, full-time position this September. What you'll be doing:
* You'll be designing and delivering engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (A-level).
* As Head of Humanities, you will lead, manage, and develop the combined Humanities department (Geography, History, RE), overseeing curriculum design, assessment, and the professional development of your team.
* It's about fostering rigorous geographical and historical inquiry, encouraging data analysis, and developing students' understanding of physical and human geography, and historical events.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Geography.
* Proven experience teaching Geography effectively at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
* Significant experience in a leadership or second-in-department role within a Humanities faculty.
* A deep understanding of the Geography curriculum and a commitment to innovative teaching methods.
* Strong communication skills, effective team leadership abilities, and a genuine ability to inspire geographical curiosity and excellence across the Humanities.
