Job Description
Head of Ventilation / Head of HVAC
Reason for the Role
* Company has experienced a sustained period of growth and is expanding its capabilities.
* They are seeking a Head of Ventilation / head of HVAC to lead the Ventilation Project Team.
* The role supports the delivery of larger, more complex national projects (£5k – £1M) and works alongside the Project Director and Head of Air Conditioning to grow the company further.
The Role & Package
The Role
Position: Head of Ventilation / head of HVAC
Location: Chester (main office).
* Lead the Ventilation Project Team and deliver projects nationwide.
* Collaborate with the Project Director, Head of Air Conditioning, Project Managers, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Clients.
* Play a key role in business growth and maintaining strong client relationships.
Package
* Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum (depending on experience).
* Pension: £6,000 – £7,000 per annum private pension contribution.
* Bonus scheme: Per project basis.
* Benefits:
* Company Car Allowance or Electric Vehicle, Laptop, 25 days annual leave.
* Location: Chester (office-based).
* Package will grow as the company expands, ensuring key individuals (like the Head of Ventilation) share in the companies success.
Duties & Responsibilities
Main Duties- Head of Ventilation / head of HVAC
* Lead ventilation projects from design to completion.
* Validate designs/scopes of work, submit formal quotes, and attend site visits.
* Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered to cost, schedule, and quality standards.
* Collaborate with the MD to build and maintain customer/client relationships (existing and new).
* Help expand the portfolio and capabilities while supporting overall business growth.
* Foster a positive, collaborative team culture where all employees are supported and treated equally.
Key Responsibilities- Head of Ventilation / head of HVAC
* Responding to formal tenders and project requests.
* Sizing ductwork and ventilation equipment.
* Full responsibility for delivery of ventilation projects.
* Liaising with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
* Managing and resolving project issues and uncertainties effectively.
Requirements (Must-Have)
* Proven ability to submit large ventilation tender returns.
* Strong design and project delivery experience.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Good IT and communication skills.
* Qualification: HNC or equivalent in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
