Role: Head of IT Services
Location: Glasgow (Onsite 1–3 days per week)
Contract Length: 6 Months (opportunity for extensions)

Seeking a Head of IT Services to lead IT operations across service desk, infrastructure, and control centre functions.
A hands-on leadership role managing a team of 10–11 people and working closely with a passionate and innovative CTO.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead & manage IT Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Control Centre teams
* Ensure delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused IT service across a group
* Oversee day-to-day IT operations, incident, problem, and change management processes
* Drive service improvements, ensuring ITIL best practices and continuous improvement are embedded
* Work closely with the CTO to shape the IT service strategy and innovate service delivery
* Own and develop operational KPIs and reporting, ensuring service levels are met or exceeded
* Manage third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual compliance and performance
* Maintain resilience, availability, and security of business-critical IT services
* Act as escalation point for major incidents and coordinate response and recovery efforts
* Support the future transition from on-prem infrastructure to cloud-based services
Required Experience
* Proven in IT Operations / IT Service Management leadership roles
* Experience managing cross-functional IT teams for an SME group
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong understanding of ITIL / ITIL certifications
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and service environments
Desirable Skills
* Experience leading or supporting cloud transformation initiatives
* Ability to shape strategy and build a roadmap for modern IT service delivery
* Previous experience in hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem to cloud)Before You Apply
