Roles and Responsibilities:
* Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
* Lead and manage the Mathematics faculty to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes
* Shape and implement a challenging, engaging and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
* Drive improvement in progress and attainment across all key stages through strategic planning, effective use of data and a focus on high-quality classroom practice
* Inspire and develop a team of dedicated professionals through mentoring, coaching and effective performance management
* Oversee curriculum planning, assessment and resources to ensure consistency and excellence across the department
* Promote a culture of high expectations, enthusiasm for learning and a love of mathematics throughout the school
* Contribute to whole-school leadership and improvement initiatives as part of the extended leadership team

Qualifications and Experience:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
* A degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
* A proven track record of successful teaching and leadership in Maths at secondary level
* Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2025 document)
Vetting Checks:
* Right to Work in the UK (No Limitations)
* Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (Child/Child & Adult Workforce)
* Reference checks covering the last 2 years of employment or education
