Salary: £29,344 – £44,919 (TLR 2B)
Are you an ambitious and experienced Maths educator ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Mathematics to lead a thriving department in a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape curriculum delivery, drive academic excellence, and inspire both students and staff.
The Role:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Maths department across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
Support and mentor a team of Maths teachers, promoting collaborative practice and professional growth.
Use data to monitor student progress, identify trends, and implement targeted interventions.
Lead on curriculum development, assessment design, and whole-school numeracy initiatives.
Contribute to the wider school leadership team and play a key role in raising standards across the board.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record of outstanding Maths teaching.
Proven experience in middle leadership or a readiness to step into a leadership role.
Deep understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum, including assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to inclusive education, high expectations, and continuous improvement.
