A dynamic secondary school in Southampton is seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Maths to lead their department full-time from October half term. This is a key leadership role for someone with strong subject knowledge, strategic vision, and a passion for driving excellence in mathematics education.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Maths department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
Plan and develop a robust and engaging curriculum across key stages
Oversee departmental marketing, including promoting subject engagement and uptake
Support and mentor teaching staff, fostering professional growth
Monitor student progress and implement strategies for improvementEssential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Previous leadership or middle management experience
