Head of Physics – Tower Hamlets
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and highly motivated Head of Physics to join a popular, flourishing and highly-supportive Secondary School in Tower Hamlets, Inner London. .

JOB TITLE: Head of Physics
START DATE: September 2025 or January 2026
LOCATION: London Borough of Tower Hamlets
CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time and Permanenet
SALARY: MPS/UPS (inner London) + TLR 2B
THE ROLE - Head of Physics
As Head of Physics you will:
* be accountable for raising standards of pupil progress and for development within the curriculum areas, including enhancing the teaching practice of others
* lead, manage and develop the curriculum/subject areas ensuring the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the departments, in accordance with the aims and priorities of the school
* manage effectively financial and physical resources within the departments to support the designated curricula including the deployment of teaching and support staff
* contribute to the development of a curriculum model that stretches and inspires all students
Teacher Requirements:
The successful Teacher will be a holder of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning Skills Status (QTLS). You will be a Teacher with a clear passion for your subject area and a hard-working, dedicated and ambitious nature. The school will consider applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) for this Teacher role.
