Role: Head of Procurement
Location: Braintree
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
Salary: £24.00 an hour, weekly pay (£50,000 per annum)
Temporary position, with the opportunity to go permanent
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Head of Procurement to join a fast-paced client based in Braintree
Our client is seeking an individual that has extensive knowledge within the Aerospace / Aviation industry and proven track record of success.
Duties of Head of Procurement:
Lead and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to meet quality, price, and delivery targets.
Oversee contracts, negotiations, and compliance with legal and company standards.
Monitor supplier performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage procurement risks.
Manage purchasing budgets, reporting, and inventory requirements across departments.
What we would like from you:
Previous experience in a similar role within an Aviation MRO environment
Proven track record of success in procurement and supplier management
CIPS Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Procurement & Supply (desirable)
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn Aerotrac
Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset
A self-starter with great attention to detail and a disciplined approach
Team player with a positive attitude
Must be a driver, with own vehicle
