Due to the next phase of growth, our client is looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Head of Product Management to lead the development and execution of their accounting software solutions. This pivotal role will serve as the essential link between their Go-To-Market strategy and Product Development, ensuring their offerings meet market demands and exceed user expectations.

As the Head of Product Management, you will be responsible for:
- Market research and Product Strategy: Conduct continuous market analysis to identify unmet needs in the UK accounting market. Prioritise product requirements based on market demand, competitive positioning, and user feedback. Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and key differentiators.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Product Team to translate accounting expertise into technical specifications and user stories. Work closely with the Sales and Training and the Implementation teams to develop compelling messaging, case studies, and training materials.
- Client and Prospect Engagement: Serve as the accounting expert in high-stakes client meetings and industry events. Support the training team to educate prospects on upcoming features and the long-term strategic vision of the product.
- Product Success Ownership: Ensure the product exceeds user needs, focusing on adoption rates, client retention, and feedback scores. Own the product’s UK-specific compliance.
- Product Development Support: Provide accounting insight and detailed information to assist with product development. Get hands-on with accounting content needed by the product team.
As the Head of Product Management you will have or be:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 8+ years’ experience in UK accounting practice or fintech/product roles.
- Deep expertise in workpaper systems, financial reporting software, and tax compliance tools used by UK firms.
- Proven ability to bridge accounting workflows with SaaS product development.
- Strong track record in client-facing roles.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying technical concepts for non-accounting stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with experience prioritising competing demands in fast-paced environments.
