Are you an experienced and inspiring Psychology Teacher ready to take the next step in your career? A well-regarded and inclusive 11–18 secondary school in Hereford is seeking a dynamic Head of Psychology to lead their thriving Social Sciences department from September 2025 on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Role:

Lead and manage the delivery of Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5
*
Teach engaging, analytical, and thought-provoking lessons at GCSE and A-Level
*
Shape and develop the Psychology curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment strategies
*
Inspire students to pursue Psychology beyond school through enrichment and career pathways
*
Monitor progress, support colleagues, and drive high academic standards within the department
*
Contribute to whole-school leadership and work closely with senior staff on wider strategic goals

What We’re Looking For:

A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
*
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
*
Proven experience teaching Psychology at both GCSE and A-Level (AQA or Edexcel experience preferred)
*
A track record of raising attainment and leading improvement
*
Vision, creativity, and confidence in shaping Psychology provision
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
