A client within the Public Sector based in Kent is currently recruiting for a Head of Repairs to join their Property and Asset Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a repairs and maintenance environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to lead the delivery of a high-performing, customer-focused responsive repairs service, ensuring efficiency, safety, and alignment with corporate priorities. The role also drives continuous improvement and ensures resident satisfaction.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Deliver strategic direction for responsive repairs aligned with regulatory standards and business goals
• Manage the day-to-day running of the in-house DLO, ensuring timely and quality repairs delivery
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive performance using data insights, and ensure strong health & safety practices
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A technical qualification in construction, building maintenance or property management (e.g., HNC, CIOB, NVQ Level 4+)
• A relevant management qualification (e.g., ILM Level 5 or equivalent leadership training)
• Experience managing large-scale customer-facing repair services
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and disrepair legislation
• Proven ability to manage large operational budgets and achieve value for money
• Excellent leadership and performance management skills in a fast-paced environment
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering up to £80,000 p/a + benefits.
