We are looking for a Head of Responsive Repairs to join our dedicated team in the public sector. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the future of our responsive repairs service, ensuring a resident-focused approach while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the responsive repairs function, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
Act as the key liaison for stakeholders both within the Council and externally.
Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aimed at continuous improvement.
Oversee external maintenance and reactive repair service providers, ensuring quality management systems are in place.
Manage a budget turnover of approximately £12 million and monitor financial performance.What We're Looking For:
Experience: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary, customer-focused services in housing maintenance or related fields.
Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team while managing change effectively.
Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop strategies that support service delivery and improvement, with a focus on financial accountability.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present effectively at various levels.Key Attributes:
Strong knowledge of the legislative framework surrounding repairs and building maintenance.
Commitment to promoting health and safety practises.
A flexible approach with a willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
