On behalf of our retained client, a leading UK specialist in fire and life safety solutions – we are seeking a high-calibre Head of Sales to drive an ambitious growth strategy by securing complex, high-value projects in mission-critical sectors such as Data Centres.
The Role
As Head of Sales, you’ll report directly to Director level and take full ownership of the company’s sales strategy, client development, and revenue growth targets. You’ll lead a talented sales team, collaborate cross-functionally across pre-construction and delivery teams, and represent the business at the highest levels within the industry.
This is a senior leadership role with real influence and the opportunity to shape culture, capability, and client outcomes in a values-driven business.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute a high-impact UK sales strategy aligned with ambitious growth plans
* Lead, coach, and develop the internal sales team to foster performance, collaboration, and client-first culture
* Act as a senior point of contact for key clients and partners, ensuring repeat business and referrals
* Drive accurate sales forecasting, bid oversight, and pipeline health to support board-level reporting
* Champion cross-functional collaboration with estimating, design, delivery, and marketing teams
* Strengthen brand presence and market position, particularly in the mission-critical and data centre sectors
✅ What We’re Looking For
* A proven sales leader from the fire protection, M&E, or building services sectors
* Experience leading sales teams and delivering against ambitious commercial targets
* Deep understanding of complex, technical sales cycles within construction or pre-construction environments
* Technical credibility in life safety systems (fire detection, suppression, integrated safety)
* A confident communicator with excellent client relationship and negotiation skills
* Experience in the Data Centre or critical infrastructure space is a strong advantage
🎓 Preferred Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
* CRM proficiency and familiarity with data-led sales reporting
* FIA, LPCB, or equivalent accreditations are desirable
