The Head of Sales is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, margin performance, and market expansion and alignment across all commercial functions, including sales, marketing, and telesales.   Controlling and supporting the development of an integrated plan aligned across all functions. As a senior leader within Braehead Foods, this role balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring commercial performance aligns with the company’s values, heritage, and long-term vision. The role plays a critical part in professionalising the commercial function while preserving the agility and culture of a developing family business. Key Responsibilities, but not limited to Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy aligned to business objectives. Deliver revenue growth, profitability targets - GP, and market share expansion. Identify new multimarket opportunities (retail, foodservice, wholesale). Lead and develop the field sales and key account teams. Manage strategic relationships with major customers and buying groups. Build strong relationships supporting the sales team with high-value contracts and trading agreements. Work with MD, Ops and marketing to develop brand strategy in line with company heritage that meets sector, customer and internal growth ambitions. Oversee product positioning and innovation launches connecting the plan back to sales and marketing. Oversee telesales operations to maximise inbound and outbound opportunities. Drive customer retention, upselling, and cross-selling initiatives. Implement CRM systems and structured call strategies. Coach and develop managers and emerging talent. Own commercial forecasting and budgeting processes. Ensure commercial decisions support production capacity and efficiency. Scope & Impact This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the commercial future of the business. The Head of Sales will influence company-wide strategy, drive sustainable growth, and ensure the business remains competitive while preserving the core values and identity of Braehead Foods.
