Head of SEO - Independent Digital Marketing Agency - Remote
The Company:
An exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, award winning UK digital marketing agency. Due to exciting client wins and expansion of the SEO team, we are now seeking new Head of SEO to join and lead their team.
Position Overview:
Working directly into the Managing Director, and leading a talented team of SEO specialists, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
Taking ownership of the SEO department, providing day-to-day guidance, leadership and direction to a small, dedicated team of SEO professionals
Leading the department towards operational & process improvements and efficiency
Devising and executing innovative SEO strategies for clients in across e-commerce, Retail, Charity, Healthcare and B2B alongside your team, remaining hands-on when required.
Working with the client and colleagues to develop and improve SEO processes.
Supporting the Sales, Client Services and the Directors by providing SEO subject matter expertise in client meetings and reviews.
Setting and achieving strategic goals and objectives for the department.
Reporting, client meetings and presentations.About You:
Must have proven experience as either a Head of SEO, SEO Director, or a Senior SEO Manager ready to take the next step in your career, within an agency.
A strong understanding of SEO strategy, with a track record of improving organic performance for your clients.
Ability to manage, delegate & coordinate multiple client projects and campaigns through your team in a precise and timely manner
Strong technical SEO expertise
Good client management skills, with the ability to present and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in SEO and Analytics tools such as Google Analytics & Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Majestic and Screaming Frog.
Ideally experience of working on international clients
Familiarity with development and coding practices, and CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify and Magento
