About the Role:
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Head of Service to lead and manage integrated front-line services across the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) and Youth Justice Service in the London Borough of Havering.
You will play a pivotal role in transformation, ensuring child-centred, responsive, and legally compliant practice across MASH, Youth Offending, Edge of Care, and Early Help.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic leadership of multi-agency safeguarding and youth justice services
*
Oversee safeguarding thresholds, MACE, contextual safeguarding, and extra-familial harm
*
Drive innovation in early help and edge of care support
*
Ensure compliance, quality assurance, and budget management
*
Collaborate effectively with police, health, education, and the voluntary sector
Essential Requirements:
*
Qualified Social Worker (SWE Registered)
*
Proven leadership in safeguarding and youth justice contexts
*
In-depth knowledge of statutory frameworks and multi-agency collaboration
*
Strong record in service transformation and performance improvement
*
Enhanced DBS required
