Location: Northamptonshire

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
A highly regarded secondary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Spanish to lead a successful and growing department from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for a subject specialist to take on a leadership role and shape the delivery of Spanish across the curriculum, while fostering a love of languages and global culture in students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Spanish curriculum across KS3–KS5
*
Deliver outstanding lessons that inspire, challenge, and engage
*
Monitor student progress and drive high achievement
*
Support and develop team members through effective leadership and mentoring
*
Contribute to the wider development of Modern Foreign Languages within the school
Candidate Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience teaching Spanish to GCSE and A-Level
*
A proven track record of securing strong student outcomes
*
Previous leadership experience is desirable (Second-in-Department or higher)
*
Commitment to high standards, inclusive practice, and continuous improvement
