Job Description
The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain function-from raw material sourcing through production planning to distribution. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in chilled food manufacturing, a robust understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and a proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Lead and oversee all supply chain functions, including demand and supply planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and customer fulfillment.
Planning & S&OP: Own and continuously improve the S&OP process to align demand forecasting, supply planning, production, and inventory strategies across the business.
Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute the supply chain strategy aligned with overall business goals, focusing on agility, cost efficiency, service level improvement, and sustainability.
Chilled Food Expertise: Leverage in-depth understanding of chilled food manufacturing to optimize short shelf-life logistics, cold chain integrity, and freshness compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and NPD teams to ensure alignment of supply chain plans with business priorities.
Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Supplier and Logistics Management: Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and logistics providers to ensure supply continuity, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring robust contingency planning and crisis management procedures.
Technology & Systems: Champion the use of ERP/MRP and advanced planning systems to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational visibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role within the chilled food manufacturing sector.
Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end supply chains, including production planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Strong expertise in S&OP processes, demand forecasting, and production planning.
Deep understanding of chilled supply chain dynamics, including cold chain management and short-shelf-life challenges.
Experience working with major retailers and understanding their supply chain expectations and KPIs.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
Familiarity with ERP and supply chain planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar).
