We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Systems Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function. This role is responsible for enabling high-performing teams to deliver complex, integrated solutions.
Responsibilities will include:
Setting the strategic direction for systems engineering, ensuring consistent, data-driven practices across all projects.
Overseeing requirements capture, analysis, and validation to ensure robust traceability through the engineering lifecycle.
Leading the development and implementation of verification and validation strategies to maintain integrity.
Act as an authority on systems assurance, supporting project-level decision making and stakeholder confidence in system integrity.
Build and mentor a high-performing systems engineering team, centred on continuous improvement, professional development, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing.
Driving cross-disciplinary collaboration to achieve seamless integration between system elements.
Managing a team of 7 Systems Engineers with scope to growEssential Skills and Experience:
Degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
Proven leadership experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Proven experience throughout the design, development, and testing stages of defence platforms.
Systems engineering experience in the context of safety-critical systems.
Proficient in model-based systems engineering and confident applying structured, data-driven methods.Benefits:
