A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Wigan is seeking to appoint an inspiring and committed Head of Year to join its pastoral team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator or experienced pastoral leader to play a key role in supporting student wellbeing, behaviour, and academic success within a supportive and community-focused environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  * Lead a year group, providing strong pastoral care and guidance

  * Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement

  * Build positive relationships with students, staff and families

  * Support students’ personal development and wellbeing

  * Work closely with senior leaders to drive whole-school improvement
