Champion the academic and personal development of a year group at our outstanding Barking school! We are particularly interested in applications from teachers of English, Maths, or Science.
Our outstanding school in Barking is seeking a dedicated and highly effective teacher, ideally with a specialism in English, Maths, or Science, to take on the rewarding and influential role of Head of Year. You will be a key advocate for your students, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the key point of contact for a designated year group, providing both academic and pastoral support.
* Track and analyse student progress, implementing interventions as needed.
* Work proactively to address issues related to behaviour, attendance, and well-being.
* Liaise effectively with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships.
* Lead and develop a team of form tutors to provide consistent support for students.
* Contribute to the school's commitment to raising achievement and promoting student development.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
