Headteacher – ASD Complex Needs School
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum
SEND Inclusion Support is proud to support a specialist school in Burton-on-Trent in recruiting an experienced and dedicated Headteacher. This exceptional school provides high-quality education and care for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
We are looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and visionary leader who can continue to drive the school’s mission of delivering outstanding outcomes for children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a minimum of 2 years’ headship experience in SEND/SEMH settings
* Possess significant leadership experience within a specialist or alternative provision
* Have a deep understanding of ASD, complex needs, and trauma-informed practice, and how to translate this into effective teaching and pastoral support
* Be skilled in motivating, supporting, and managing a dedicated team of staff, fostering professional growth and a positive culture
* Be passionate about championing the rights and potential of every pupil, ensuring that the school continues to be a place where children feel safe, understood, and empowered to succeed
