Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: £35k - £40k
We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and driven Health and Safety Advisor to join our clients team. This role is crucial in supporting compliance across their operations, with a strong emphasis on PUWER, LOLER, and ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Health and Safety Advisor - Key Responsibilities:
· Provide competent and practical advice on all health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with PUWER and LOLER regulations.
· Support the development and ongoing management of integrated management systems aligned with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).
· Carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments across various the company.
· Lead on incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
· Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.
· Deliver training and awareness sessions to operational teams.
· Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Health and Safety Advisor - Requirements:
The ideal candidate MUST come from the Manufacturing Industry as a Health and Safety Advisor. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
· NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
· Solid experience and practical understanding of PUWER and LOLER regulations.
· Proven experience with one or more of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
· Strong auditing, reporting, and communication skills.
· Self-starter with the ability to influence change and drive safety improvements.
