Job Description

O'Neill & Brennan are working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor with an exceptional reputation for delivering large-scale commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued project growth in London, they are now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their on-site team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive business that values safety, innovation, and career development. The Role: As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld across one or more major M&E projects in London. You’ll work closely with site teams, project managers, and the principal contractor to promote a proactive H&S culture and ensure full compliance with company and statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities: Support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s HSE policies and procedures on site Assist with the preparation and review of RAMS, method statements, and risk assessments Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety tours Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions Ensure PPE compliance and monitor usage across the workforce Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses Monitor plant and equipment safety, including inspections and checks Maintain H&S records, reports, and documentation in line with ISO and company standards Liaise with the project management team and subcontractors on H&S-related issues Promote a culture of continuous improvement and behavioural safety Requirements: Essential: NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction or M&E sector Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations Ability to influence, engage, and drive a positive safety culture Excellent communication and reporting skills IT literate, including Microsoft Office Desirable: Experience working with a Tier 1 contractor or on large-scale M&E projects First Aid at Work certification Temporary Works Coordinator or Awareness (training can be provided) What's on Offer: Competitive salary + benefits package (car allowance, travel, pension, etc.) Long-term career prospects with a respected Tier 1 contractor Exposure to flagship London projects Supportive team environment and continued professional development O’Neill and Brennan values diversity and promotes equality, All individuals will be treated in a fair and equal manner and in accordance with the law regardless of gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation
