Health and Safety Lead (Construction)
Dublin | €100,000 + Excellent Benefits
Irwin and Colton has been engaged by a major Principal Contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Lead. The global company is currently completing a broad range of major construction and infrastructure projects, with this role focused on leading the health and safety agenda for a major infrastructure project in Dublin. It is essential candidates for this role have a proven track record of engaging and influencing senior management, ideally at board level.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Lead will include:
Working with the Health and Safety Director to develop and continually refine the health and safety strategy for the project
Leading the Health and Safety function, ensuring the delivery of the strategy on site
Influencing, engaging, and coaching key internal and external stakeholders to implement change
Constantly assessing opportunities for improvements and sharing best practice across the organisationThe successful Head of Health and Safety candidate will have:
Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or a related industry
Experience in influencing, engaging, and coaching senior management and site-level operations
A NEBOSH Diploma, degree, or NVQ5 (or equivalent)
