Health & Safety Manager (Part-Time)
📍 Location: Eastleigh
💷 Salary: Up to £50,000 FTE (pro-rata)
🕓 Hours: 16-25 per week | Flexible days and times
About the Role
We're partnering with a respected manufacturing business seeking a Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of the site's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) strategy.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a strong safety culture across all site operations.
This is a part-time position, offering flexibility around working hours and days - ideal for an experienced HSE professional looking for a balanced role with genuine autonomy and influence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain site HSE policies and procedures to ensure full legal and regulatory compliance.
Lead and embed a positive safety culture through proactive engagement with all departments.
Maintain and manage external accreditations, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Conduct and follow up on regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Deliver induction and refresher HSE training to all employees and management teams.
Oversee incident investigations, reporting, and KPI tracking to drive performance improvement.
Act as the site's HSE representative for customer, compliance, and regulatory audits.
Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, including 6S and LEAN-based safety improvements.
About You
NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) qualification.
Proven HSE management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Confident communicator with excellent influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing HSE systems and reporting.
Self-motivated, organised, and capable of operating independently while supporting senior leadership.
