Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and guidance to build robust health and safety capability across all departments of the site.
Keep the site consistently compliant with UK health and safety regulations.
Actively connect with employees at every level to foster a strong, proactive health and safety culture.
Oversee regular audits and inspections to evaluate health and safety performance, proactively identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
Work closely with contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies to strengthen compliance and maintain high health and safety standards on-site.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
Proven background in a role where managing and leading audits, inspections, and certifications was commonplace.
Significant experience in health and safety roles within challenging industries, particularly manufacturing.
Effective at influencing stakeholders at all levels, whether that be the team on the shop floor, or members of the board, and crafting high-quality presentations to communicate key messages.
Independent, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
