Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday
About the Role:
A leading UK manufacturer in the home-building sector is looking for an experienced and driven Health and Safety Manager to oversee health and safety practices across multiple advanced production sites. With three manufacturing facilities and a strong focus on sustainability, precision, and quality, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking business.
This role would suit a Health & Safety Advisor looking to take the next step into management, with the support and scope to grow and shape the function.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
Carry out comprehensive risk assessments across all manufacturing and production areas.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports with corrective actions.
Conduct audits, inspections, and workplace assessments to ensure compliance.
Advise managers and team leaders on best practices and legal requirements.
Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to employees.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for reporting and external audits.
Requirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is essential.
Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing, construction, or engineering.
A solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
Confident communication skills with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
Eagerness to take ownership and develop leadership experience in a management role.
