Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager
Location: West London (Major Infrastructure Project – Uxbridge Area)
Salary: £85-£90k + Car / £6k Allowance, Pension up to 10% bonus, Private medical
Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional with a proven track record leading on major civil engineering and infrastructure projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international construction business and play a key role in delivering one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure frameworks.
The Role
As Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will lead the HSW function across a large-scale, complex infrastructure programme. This is a senior leadership position, forming part of the project’s Senior Leadership Team and acting as the primary point of contact for client and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic leadership and technical expertise on all HSW matters across the project.
* Leading and developing a team of HSW professionals, mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement.
* Ensuring compliance with UK legislation, company policies, and best practice.
* Acting as the key liaison between the project and the central HSQE & Sustainability function.
* Supporting tenders, bids, and technical submissions with health and safety expertise.
* Championing innovation, wellbeing, and behavioural safety initiatives to achieve excellence across delivery.
About You
We are seeking a Chartered Health & Safety professional with significant experience operating at senior level on large, complex construction or civil engineering projects.
Essential requirements:
* NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent
* Chartered IOSH (CMIOSH) membership or working towards.
* Significant HSW experience within construction/infrastructure.
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Line management experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Ability to anticipate and manage risks on high-profile projects.
