Job Description
We’re hiring for a Health & Safety Manager to join a long-established manufacturing business based in Stockport.
You’ll be part of the management team, driving HSE compliance and continuous improvement across a 24/7 operation — with scope to expand into HR and recruitment over time.

What will you be doing as a Health and Safety Manager?
* Leading and improving HSE policies, systems & practices
* Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations & company standards
* Promoting a strong safety culture across all teams
* Developing training programmes, risk assessments & incident investigations
* Driving continuous improvement in safety & environmental performance
* Auditing, analysing & reporting environmental data to external bodies
* Supporting staffing, training & workforce planning as the role develops
What do you need?
* Strong background in Health & Safety with NEBOSH qualification (essential)
* Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment
* Proven leadership of multiple teams in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation
