Job Description
Railway electrification company requires a Health and Safety Manager on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
* Adhere to and promote company procedures
* Ensure proper communication strategies, resources, training and competency / evaluation measures are in place for team members to safely deliver their work
* Understand potential safety risks and make sure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate these and comply with industry legislation
* Put in place health and safety improvement measures and strategies
* Ensure business compliance with health and safety policies and strategies, audit compliance in line with legal requirements
* Lead and carry out investigations when required
* Help with implementation of the Behavioural Safety and Safety Culture Change Programme
* Liaise with client representative and supply chain to ensure effective communication on HSQE
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager or Senior Health and Safety Advisor in the rail industry
* NEBOSH
* IEMA
* PTS
* Driving licence and willingness to travel to sites in Northern England and Scotland
