Job Description
Health and Social Care Teacher – Full-Time, January Start (Maternity Cover)
Education Personnel, one of the leading education recruitment agencies in the area, is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher to join one of our partnered secondary academies this January. This is a full-time maternity cover position running until the end of the academic year, with the potential for further opportunities thereafter.
You’ll be joining a large, forward-thinking secondary school known for its inclusive values, modern facilities, and strong commitment to supporting both staff and students. The school has a thriving sixth form and a well-resourced Health and Social Care department that takes pride in delivering engaging lessons and developing confident, career-ready learners.
You’ll be teaching across two sites, so access to a car and full driving licence is recommended. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5, contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*
Experience teaching Health and Social Care at secondary or post-16 level
*
DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
*
Strong classroom management and a genuine passion for the subject
