Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with well-established nuclear engineering and processing business in their search for a Health Physics Monitor, based full-time on site in Cheshire.

Responsibilities and duties of the Health Physics Monitor role
Reporting to the Health Physics Team Leader you will:
Carry out routine and non-routine radiological monitoring and contamination surveys.
Assist in the implementation of radiological protection measures and controls.
Operate and maintain radiation monitoring equipment.
Support investigations into radiological incidents or alarms.
Record and report monitoring data in accordance with regulatory and site-specific requirements.
Provide front-line support to operational staff regarding radiological safety and best practice.
Participate in emergency response drills and actual events as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Details Relevant qualifications or experience in radiation protection or health physics monitoring
Strong understanding of radiological safety principles and regulations
Personal skills
