Job Description

Position: H&S Officer / Coordinator Location: Kingscourt, Ireland Salary: €40,000 Reporting to: Environmental Health & Safety Manager About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented EH&S Officer / Coordinator to support the delivery and maintenance of a robust Environmental, Health & Safety programme across site. Reporting directly to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, this role will assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory, corporate, and ISO standards while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious EH&S professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities EH&S Systems & Compliance Support the implementation and maintenance of EH&S policies, procedures, and management systems. Assist in ensuring compliance with EPA, corporate, legal, and ISO requirements. Support ISO management systems, including audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain EH&S documentation, records, and reporting systems. Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities. Participate in risk assessments and support hazard identification processes. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Support emergency preparedness and response activities. Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives. Assist in delivering EH&S training and inductions where required. Qualifications / Education / Experience Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. 1-3 years' experience in an EH&S or similar role is desirable. Knowledge of environmental and health & safety legislation. Experience supporting ISO management systems preferred. Skills & Key Characteristics Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and MS Outlook. Strong time management and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret regulations and support practical implementation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to influence and engage with colleagues across all levels of the business. Proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
