Building Safety Case Coordinator
Location: Manchester
Hours: Full-time, 9:00am - 5:30pm
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading property management organisation for a Building Safety Case Coordinator to support the delivery and ongoing management of safety information for higher risk buildings (HRBs), in line with the Building Safety Act 2022.
Role Overview:
You will assist the Building Safety Case Manager in developing and maintaining the Safety Case, ensuring all necessary fire and structural safety data is accurate and up to date. This includes managing the Golden Thread of information, identifying gaps, commissioning surveys or reports as needed, and ensuring compliance with building safety legislation. You will also coordinate registrations and submissions with the Building Safety Regulator and work closely with various teams to support resident engagement and safety assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage safety-related data to form and update the Safety Case and associated reports
Continuously review and maintain the Golden Thread of information for HRBs
Register buildings with the Building Safety Regulator and coordinate Building Assessment Certificate applications
Monitor and support action plans related to safety certificates
Assist in maintaining compliance with fire and building safety regulations
Prepare reports and documentation as required
Engage in ongoing professional developmentSkills and Experience:
Working towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g., IFE, CIOB, RICS, CIH, NEBOSH Gen or Fire Cert)
Experience in facilities management, housing, asset management, compliance, construction, health and safety, or building maintenance
Strong data management and interpersonal skills
Practical understanding of fire and structural safety principles and relevant legislation (Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, etc.)
Ability to research, prioritise workload, and work independently
Familiarity with fire safety equipment maintenance requirements
Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective professional relationships with stakeholders including regulators and emergency services
