Job Description
HSE & Facilities Site Lead - Manufacturing
Location: Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire (On-site)
Salary: £60,000-£65,000 (DOE)
Benefits include:
Single healthcare cover
£6,000 car allowance (as of April 2024)
Bonus: 7.5% target
Pension: Employer match up to 7%
25 days annual leave (+ 1 day after 5 years' service)

Overview
We're recruiting an experienced HSE & Facilities Site Lead for a complex 24/7 manufacturing facility in Leicestershire. This is a pivotal leadership role, directly supporting a major multi-million-pound expansion project. You'll join the site leadership team and lead a small in-house team while managing outsourced service providers, HSE compliance, and site facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure legal compliance and lead the implementation of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001.
Develop and coach teams to embed a proactive, safety-first culture.
Act as the site's subject matter expert for HSE during strategic projects and regulatory inspections.
Oversee HSE and facilities budgets and manage capital allocation.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations to drive continuous improvement.
Lead and develop a team of 3 (HSE Advisors + Facilities Lead).
Be a visible, engaged presence on site with cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Requirements
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) - IOSH CPD membership required
Strong HSE leadership experience in manufacturing (FMCG or food preferred)
Experience managing direct reports and working at leadership team level
Proven knowledge of UK HSE and environmental legislation
IEMA Environmental Certificate required; Diploma preferred (support offered if progressing from Cert)
Strong stakeholder influence, auditing, coaching, and budget management skills
Full UK driving licence; flexibility for occasional UK travel/overnight stays
