Description

We are now pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team on a major Data Centre project. Reporting to the EHS Lead, this role will play a key part in ensuring that all works are delivered in compliance with the company Safety Management System and in accordance with statutory legislation and best practice standards.

Requirements

  * Oversee project compliance with the Safety Management System.

  * Develop and maintain Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans.

  * Prepare and analyse H&S performance reports and metrics for management review.

  * Keep senior management informed of ongoing H&S initiatives, performance, and progress.

  * Ensure compliance with all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and legislation.

  * Implement and maintain PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.

  * Oversee and support the development of method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Action (SPA), and permit-to-work systems.

  * Monitor compliance with the Project Execution Plan and associated safety standards.

  * Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the project and wider business.

  * Manage C.O.S.H.H. assessments and ensure control measures are implemented effectively.

  * Ensure that safety observations, interventions, and corrective actions are recorded and closed out.

  * Conduct regular site inspections and audits, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are completed.

  * Maintain accurate records of statutory inspections and documentation.

  * Proactively identify and mitigate project EHS risks.

  * Ensure subcontractor compliance with the client’s and the project’s EHS policies and procedures.

  * Coordinate and manage EHS induction and training programmes for all site personnel.

  * Ensure appropriate PPE resources are available and maintained.

  * Lead or assist in incident and accident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and communication to the project management team.

Skills / Qualifications:

  * Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline.

  * Minimum 5 years’ experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects (Data Centre experience highly desirable).

  * Strong knowledge of current Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation.

  * Proven ability to manage all EHS aspects of a complex construction site.

  * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  * Strong proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting systems.

  * Ability to work on own initiative while fostering collaboration across teams and subcontractors.

  * Flexible approach to working patterns and changing project priorities.
