We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead and drive our health, safety, and environmental agenda across our industrial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about creating a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance while supporting operational excellence.
Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and continuously improving our Health & Safety management systems, ensuring that every employee returns home safely every day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the site's Health & Safety strategy and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and workplace investigations.
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Monitor Health & Safety performance through KPI reporting and trend analysis.
Deliver engaging Health & Safety training and promote a strong behavioural safety culture.
Support managers in managing workplace risks and ensuring compliance across all departments.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurers, contractors, and external auditors.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and champion best practice throughout the business.
Ensure emergency preparedness plans are maintained and regularly tested.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety management role within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or production environment.
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) preferred.
Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
Experience leading audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
A proactive, visible, and hands-on approach to safety leadership
Experience in CDM Regulations.
