Health and Safety Officer
Electrical & Construction biased
Location: North London office based. London & Home Counties project sites.
Contract: Full time Permanent / 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday flexible
Salary and Benefits: £55000 per annum plus company car (can use for personal), fuel card, healthcare, 23 days holiday, and pension plan.

What You Will Be Doing As The Health and Safety Officer:
As our Health and Safety Officer you will be the boots on the ground champion of safe working practices across our electrical and construction projects You will conduct site inspections deliver toolbox talks investigate incidents and ensure full compliance with UK health and safety legislation all while building trust and engagement with operatives and site teams.
Lead regular site audits and inspections across multiple workstreams
Deliver impactful toolbox talks inductions and safety briefings
Investigate near misses and incidents with professionalism and precision
Prepare and communicate RAMS COSHH assessments and Construction Phase Plans
Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key regulations
Maintain accurate records and escalate critical issues swiftly
Collaborate with contractors clients auditors and regulatory bodies
Contribute to monthly performance reports and internal audits
Champion a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.
What a Strong Applicant for the Health and Safety Officer role looks like:
8 plus years of hands on health and safety experience in electrical or construction sectors
NEBOSH General and Construction Certificates Diploma Level 6 preferred
IOSH IIRSM or IET membership
Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
Assertive yet constructive communication style
Detail oriented with excellent record keeping skills
Comfortable working at height in confined spaces and across varied site conditions
Full UK Driving License and First Aid certification.

Weekly site inspections and monthly toolbox talks
Corrective Action Follow-Up: 100% of corrective actions closed within agreed timeframes
Trend analysis of near misses and hazards
Full compliance with onboarding and mandatory training
Annual review of health and safety policies and procedures.
