What You Will Do:
- Monitor and drive improvements in overall health and safety performance across the site.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Provide expert guidance on health and safety matters, including reviewing project documentation and risk assessments.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training sessions, including inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes.
- Conduct site audits, accident investigations, and near-miss analyses to identify improvements and reduce incidents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure adherence to best practices.
What You Will Bring:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum requirement).
- Proven experience in the engineering industry, with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, using a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with regulatory authorities.
