Health & Safety Officer - Residential Construction (Dublin)
Location: Dublin
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: €50,000 - €65,000 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to oversee health and safety operations on a large-scale residential construction site in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team on a high-profile project and play a key role in maintaining a safe and productive site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor the company's Health & Safety Management System on site
Identify and address site-specific hazards through documentation and practical measures
Conduct regular audits and ensure non-conformances are addressed promptly
Support site teams in meeting statutory safety obligations and best practices
Coordinate safe systems of work and contractor compliance
Contribute to toolbox talks, safety training, and site-specific safety meetings
Assist with risk assessments, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain statutory records and ensure clear communication with the central H&S Manager
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 4 years' experience managing safety systems in the construction sector
Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Essential)
Membership of IOSH (Preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with site teams and contractors
Practical knowledge of construction risks, regulatory compliance, and control measures
Confident in delivering health & safety presentations and toolbox talks
Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently within a defined system
