We’re hiring a Health & Safety Officer to join a leading international food manufacturing business. The Role As Health & Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and proactive environment for all employees at the site. You’ll support the delivery of regional health & safety strategies, lead risk assessments, and drive initiatives that prevent incidents and safeguard wellbeing. Reporting into regional leadership, you’ll collaborate across departments and act as the go-to advisor for all H&S matters. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and mitigate health and safety risks on site. Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring effective mitigation plans. Lead investigations into incidents and ensure corrective actions are followed through. Roll out regional policies, procedures, and wellbeing initiatives. Deliver training modules to employees at all levels. Maintain strong compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. Monitor adherence to safety standards, policies, and corrective actions. Provide regular reports on incidents, KPIs, and preventative measures. Liaise with authorities, insurers, and external stakeholders on H&S matters. What We’re Looking For Degree or Higher Diploma in Health & Safety (Level 7/8). Chartered member of IOSH (or equivalent). At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
