The team
Prospero's Training & Development team are based in our head office in Old Street, London. The team fulfil several key responsibilities related to the internal training and development of our global workforce. The team also manages our highly successful and growing online training platform, Prospero Learning.
The role
The Training & Development team are seeking a Health and Social Care Course Writer and Trainer to support the expansion of Prospero Learning's popular online learning platform. Following its success in the education sector, Prospero Learning will be expanding its reach into the Health and Social Care sector.
Banquo is a Health and Social Care Provider registered with CQC to support individuals of all ages with a range of disabilities from mild to complex. The ideal candidate will have experience in working and delivering training within a regulated care environment.
The role will be varied and require the successful candidate to be able to work flexibly and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key responsibilities for the role include:
Develop and maintain high-quality online training materials, whilst ensuring training packages meet best practises and regulatory standards
Monitor training outcomes and implement continuous improvements
Delivery of face-to-face training such as:
Moving and Handling
First Aid and Basic Life Support
Safer Handling of Medication
Supporting candidates with the completion of the Care Certificate
Work with our internal Compliance Team to ensure that the relevant aspects of training support company-wide processesThe role is likely to initially be focussed on course writing for an extended period. Once the online course offer is accredited and published, the role will transform to delivering both virtual and face-to-face training.
All members of the team also support wider departmental functions and work across the business.
The ideal candidate
Proven experience in a similar role within the health and social care sector, including:
1+ year experience delivering training and course writing
3+ years of hands-on experience in Health and Social Care settings
Previous experience of creating course content for online courses accessed by a Learning Management System (LMS) (desirable)
Knowledge of health and social care sector standards for mandatory training
A strong understanding of CQC and other regulatory requirements and frameworks such as DoLS/ MCA, safeguarding, MHA and the Care Act
An industry recognised training qualification such as Level in 3 teaching and assessing, Moving and Handling trainer or assessor, etc.
Clear, confident communication and a warm, empathetic approach
Able and willing to travel across the UKThis role is full time, Monday - Friday with regular nationwide travel required to support in-person facilitation as required
