Heat Pump Technical Manager
£45k-£50k Salary + Company Car + Private Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday
Location - Chester
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Heat Pump / Renewables Manager to join a growing and well-established client of ours who specialise extensively within the Heat Pump, Solar and Renewable Energy sector.
Our client supply and install renewable energy systems to both domestic and commercial customers.
You'll need to live local and commutable to the Chester, Cheshire region, with the role being split 50/50, half your time office based and half out on the road.
The Role:
Manage and support a team of up to 16 heating engineers (employed and subcontracted), with plans to expand to 30 by year-end.
Collaborate with the office team on day-to-day operations and engineer coordination.
Provide technical support to engineers both remotely and on-site.
Assist customers with technical queries and design solutions for complex installations.
Review and approve heating surveys, ensuring optimal solutions are delivered.
Maintain high standards of compliance with current building regulations and industry standards.
Skills Required:
In-depth knowledge of heat pump systems and installation design (domestic and small commercial). You'll need to be comfortable designing systems.
Minimum 10 years' experience in plumbing and heating, and with previous experience as a fully qualified plumbing and heating engineer.
Minimum 2 years' experience managing engineers.
Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary / Package:
£45k-£50k Base Salary (subject to experience)
